Description
According to correspondence provided by the donor, this group of "Canton" pattern plates and dishes (2005.0027.001-.066) has a history of ownership by Massachusetts residents Abraham Kilham and his son. As per the same source, these mariners, merchants, and ship captains were involved in the China Trade from 1797 onward.
