Bonnet
1840-1890
Description
A black ribbed silk bonnet with a wide brim. Wide self ties at the chin and a small bow at the nape of the neck. Lined in cream silk and linen with a pasteboard support.Different religious branches with the Quaker community had different bonnet styles. This appears to be a Wilburite bonnet.
