Dress

Description

A dress (A) made of tan silk (woven ribbed construction) with a boned bodice, long puffed sleeves, V-shaped waist and full skirt. Closes in the back with a set of eleven hook eye fasteners. The front neckline is adorned with two bands of pleated silk, gathered together with a lozenge-shaped piece of fabric at the center to create a V-shape shawl (B) collar constructed from a group of seven smaller pleated bands. The waist, neck and sleeves are embellished with piping (made of the same fabric) and the sleeves fasten at the cuff with two hook eye fasteners. The bodice is lined in polished cotton and boned in the center with baleen, two bones are set under the bust and there is blank space for two additional bones along the side. The back of the skirt is constructed with cartridge pleating.There is a fichu of matching silk, lined in polished cotton.
