One dozen identical linen handkerchiefs, folded and stacked together in a white pasteboard presentation box.These are white, plain weave handkerchiefs with a woven white border. The border begins .7 from the edge and is formed from three groups of six narrow stripes. The border is woven to extend off the edges of the handkerchief, with the intersections of the border at the corner distinguished by a basket weave effect in the three border rows. The handkerchiefs have a narrow rolled hem on two edges, secured with a running stitch at 8 stitches per centimeter. The remaining two edges are selvedge width (57 centimeter). The handkerchiefs are in their original three piece paperboard box (base, lid, insert) . A pale pink silk ribbon secures the folded handkerchiefs onto a pink paperboard insert, the ribbon, tied at the center, is secured an oval sticker with gold embossed border, within that, is a narrow gold bead border. The text: "Linen" and "Switzerland" is printed in red ink within the horizontally oriented oval. Stamped between the two words in black ink, perhaps suggesting model number is "4024." On the bottom of the box base, a white sticker printed in blue bears the printed text: "No." "Ladies Embroidered Linen-Hdkfs." and "Doz." Black stamped text on the label repeats "4024" from the boxes' interior sticker, and "1" stamped before "Doz." states the boxes contents.
