Bodice

Description

A boned bodice, made primarily of green taffeta with accents of pink taffeta. The bodice is pleated along the v-neck front, which closes with eye hooks. The bodice is decorated with with heavily smocked (also called shirred) detail and matching silk grosgrain ribbons at the shoulders, cuffs and center back. A woven silk waistband is stitched to the interior of the bodice.The bodice is lined with silk twill and the bones are covered in brown cotton. The composition of the bones could not be determined (all bones are fully lined).Worn with skirt 2001.0037.010 B.
