Description
A full-length skirt made of ivory silk (the fabric has a textured weave, identified by a previous cataloguer as "dobby weave"_ There is a train, with a bustle-like pleated gather of primary fabric at the back, stiffened throughout with cotton muslin and lined with silk satin. Closes in the back with a hook and eye. The front hem is trimmed with embroidered silk organza with scalloped edges and a clover leaf motif throughout. Worn as a wedding dress with bodice 2001.0037.009 A in 1890.
