Boots (Half boots)
1804-1840
Description
A half boot (side lacing) made of plain weave wool and silk fabric. Leather sole and a black leather toe and heel. The boot is lined with white cotton (or linen) twill. Each boot laces on one side with eight pairs of eyelets (reinforced with green silk thread) Green cotton laces with a brass aglet at each end. A triangular tongue is set into the center of the lacing section. B appears to have the original lacing. The lace of A has been replaced.
