Description
This child's corset, also called a back support, is made out of cotton satin. Arm straps of the same fabric. The supportive boned structure is "corded." A corded corset creates flexible support using a variety of stitching techniques, in place of more restrictive baleen or steel bones. Lengths of cord are reinforced with stitching (to create channels) along the sides and front of the support. At the back, closely spaced rows of heavy stitching run parallel to the lacing eyelets to create support. The laces are missing.
