Description
A dress made of printed cotton fabric (block printed in England for the export market. This information is indicated by the three blue threads visible in the selvedge.) The waist adjusts with a drawstring.The construction of this garment has been altered multiple times, once in the 1790s to create a higher (and more fashionable) waist, and again at some point after that, to return the dress to its original construction.
