Bonnet
1850-1875
Description
A ladies bonnet, made of black silk satin. Heavily ruched at the center and terminating with a pleated brim. Ruffle at the neck. There is a wide black ribbon tie at the chin. Lined with silk, cotton, buckram and cotton netting. Thin wire has been used to support the structure of the brim. Small pins are tacked to the lining.
