Bonnet
1835-1860
Description
A silk bonnet made of olive green, plain-weave silk. Lined with tan plain-weave silk. The bonnet is soft, with a softly structured shape (additional support is created through stitching techniques in the lining. This is not boned or lined with a heavy supportive material like buckram) Thie bonnet has a ruffle (with a set of drawstrings on the inside) at the neck and wide gray silk ribbon ties. This belonged to a member of the Taylor family. Original tag stated "Taylor Bonnets. (Mostly Ellen Taylor Moon's)"
