Bodice (Dress bodice)
1880-1900
Description
An elongated dress bodice, made of black silk faille with orange silk twill lining. The bodice has a shawl collar and closes with a row of round covered buttons made of silk and jet beads. The sleeve cuff has a row of three round covered buttons. The bodice extends with a set of tail-like panels. The passementerie at the back of the bodice is made of two swags of black silk braid and round medallions beaded with small jet bugle beads.
