Description
A long sleeve dress made of ivory silk damask. The damask pattern is a diagonal repeat of a sprig of thistle. The bodice is boned (likely with baleen) and fully lined with linen cambric, which has a glossy finish. It closes at the back with eleven brass hook/eyes. Mark: Handrwitten in pencil "November 29, 1837"
