Description
Somewhat resembling cherries, the leaves and bumpy fruit on this plate resemble that of the Irish strawberry tree (arbutus unedo). The plate, bearing the initial "F" descended in the Fish family of New York and possibly was owned by Hamilton Fish, Secretary of State during the Ulysses S. Grant Administration.
