Description
The dark olive green nonlead glass case bottle is rectangular in section with sides that taper to a narrow base from the rounded shoulder. The short, cylindrical neck has a thick, rounded rim. The underside has a low-domed kick and a rough pontil mark on the underside. The glass is very bubbly (heavily seeded). This enormous bottle is said to have been recovered from the site of a military encampment at Cooch's Bridge near Newark, Delaware.
