Description
A cotton petticoat with a panel of openwork that terminates with a scalloped edge directly above the hem. Tambour work (possibly with silk thread) is used as a border around each eyelet. Tambour work is also used to create a vine pattern connecting the top row of eyelets and in the design of (daisy-like) flowers at the bottom of the pattern. A length of cotton tape is sewn at the waistline, above an opening at the back (or side) of the petticoat.
