Description
A baby's cap. A plain-weave cap made from linen or cotton. Embellished throughout with whitework embroidery executed in bullion stitch. The embroidered motifs have floral themes.The bottom edge is decorated with looped edging. There are drawstrings at the crown and nape of the neck. The front corners have a large buttonhole on each side. Origin in Philadelphia area.
