Description
A baby's cap made of fine, plain-weave linen. Embroidered throughout with dots (executed in French knots). Embroidery and eyelets with a leaf and branch motif (executed in satin stitch) radiate from an inserted circle of netting at the crown of the cap. Large eyelets (to attach ties) at each front corner. Drawstring at the forehead. Origin is area of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
