Measurement Notes
Measurements are approximate due to the inherent variability of textiles. (Conservation, 2009).
Vertical design repeat: 27 inches.
Horizontal design repeat: The horizontal design repeat was not taken into account during the construction of this quilt. The pattern on the textile can be repeated horizontally, if constructed to showcase the repeat, however the horizontal design repeat does not repeat when selvedge edges are joined without manipulation.
Selvedge width: 37 5/8 inches - the measurement is approximate as the sides of the textile length have been sewn into seams and the edges are not visible (RGW, 03/15/2013).
