Dress (Child's dress)

Description

A child's dress made of natural colored fine cotton. Long sleeves with gathered wristbands. The dress terminates with a 2 1/2" deep flounce at the hem. The round neckline is decorated with a group of fourteen small vertical tucks and whitework embroidery in a vertical zig-zag pattern. Open at the center back, originally designed to close with tape ties (now missing). A tuck at the hem, followed by lace edging. Lace edging also used on the wrist and neck. Machine chain stitching and hand stitching have been used.
