Petticoat

Description

A petticoat made from plain-woven cotton. The waistband is made of 1/2" wide linen and the petticoat is open at the back. Two strips of plain-woven cotton are sewn to the sides of the petticoat, designed to be worn at the arms like suspenders. The bottom of the petticoat is embellished with a 3/4" wide band of whitework embroidery, three tiers of sawtooth trim and four horizontal pintucks. The petticoat terminates at the hem with four tiers of sawtooth trim.
