Description
A silk petticoat made with plain weave silk with a cotton lining. Two fabrics are used in the lining, a plain weave cotton with a woven checked pattern and a glazed cotton (also called glazed cambric, which is commonly used in linings for petticoats). The cambric has been pinked along the top edge with a scalloped pattern.The brown glazed linen lining has been pinked along the top edge with a scalloped pattern.The hem is covered with woven tape, dyed to match the silk. The petticoat has been opened at the top, the finished waistband has been removed.
