Description
A quilted silk petticoat (related to 1969.2696.002). Brown satin is quilted through a layer of wool fleece batting with repeating chevron patterns along the upper two thirds of the skirt and large leaves over a diaper pattern along the bottom third. The petticoat is pleated at the waist and closes with a side slit and two lengths of cotton (or linen) tape.The lining is comprised of two types of cotton fabric: a glazed cotton along the top two thirds and an unglazed plain weave cotton along the bottom third.
