1850-1870
Description
An irregularly shaped fragment of compound woven silk composed of a tight, plain-woven background with extra warp threads creating small sprigs of flowers and leaves with satin floats. This may have been cut for use on a dress sleeve. The fabric's color is a green-yellow shade. This fragment contains two panels of fabric, stitched together.
