Description
A cope (ecclesiastical garment) made of brocaded silk. A large half circle of fabric with traditional orphrey band and fringe trim. This fabric has a pink ground with metallic threads. A damask floral motif is woven in blue, green, yellow and cream. The orphrey band is a braided trim of gold brocade. A paper tag is stapled to one edge printed: "Kimball, NY USA" and "Louis XIV /7865" (in ink) "350" (in ink) on back.
