Description
A bedcover made from a whole cloth quilted pink plain weave silk petticoat, later taken apart and restitched flat into a rectangular panel. In the central section the quilting is in a pattern of small parallel diagonal stitching forming diamonds and there is a border of scrolling vines with flowers and berries. The backing fabric is a coarser dark pink plain-woven glazed worsted; interlined with wool and finely quilted in a running stitch. The hem is bound with pink silk ribbon.
