Description
Gold or silver colored buckles for shoes were in fashion for most of the eighteenth century. This shoe buckle’s rectangular shape and cusped design are typical of the neo-classical influence on late eighteenth-century men’s fashion. This buckle represents a pair (Winterthur 1956.0506.002).
