Description

A green cotton dress, with leg of mutton (also called Gigot) sleeves. Lined with cream colored cotton. The fabric is two toned, with printed green vertical bands of light and dark green, along with scattered blue and white feathers throughout. Pleated throughout the skirt along with three bands of pleating along the bodice.There is a drawstring at the waist that ties at the back. Green fabric patches have been sewn to the sleeves and skirt. The lining appears to have been repurposed, possibly from printed sacks. The fabric has been turned with the wrong side facing out, but English words are printed with black ink in several areas. Some of these words are actually visible (in reverse) through the "good" side of the dress.
