A note in the registration file from Karol Schmiegel explains that "Mrs. Sherwood V. Martin, who is writing a book on American tinware to be published by the Historical Society of Early American Decoration (formerly the Ester Stephens Brazer Guild) saw these trays and said they were made in Wolverhampton, England."
