Description
A silver plate (fused plate) tubular needle case with eight facets, a removable friction-fit cap, a slot in the shaft extending 7 inches from the opening, and molded foliate borders reinforcing the end of the cap and the end opposite on the shaft. The needle case shaft is cut at a diagonal at the opening and the interior of the shaft has a joint approximately 2.5 inches from the opening. There are no visible marks or engravings. The case is designed to hold double pointed knitting needles (also called knitting pins) The slit along the side of the case is designed to fit needles when they also have a "work in progress" cast onto them.
