Previously catalogued with note: "Probably a restrike as the uneven impression shows warping of the wood block; the paper is period." Recent examination (see Paper Lab - Examination Form, 2/24/97) does not question 1740 date. Watermark from Genoa; Hedwood reproduces three similar watermarks, nos. 302, 303 and 306, two of which date, 1727-51.
