Origin Notes
Origin possibly Rhode Island. Montgomery acknowledges white cedar is often found in Philadelphia, Baltimore and southern furniture, as well as in Rhode Island pieces, but thinks the "character" of the bellflowers and shape of the feet is more akin to Rhode Island. Might possibly have been used as a tea chest in a store.
