Description
A Shaker blacksmith in New England or New York made this wrought iron ash shovel around 1830. It is currently displayed hanging on one of the two tool rests that Brother Ricardo Belden of the Hancock Shaker community made and attached to the woodbox (2026.0004.020.001), but was not originally associated with the object.
