Description

The maple top and bottom of this small green-painted pantry box are joined to the sides with small copper sprigs. Made from a thin bent strip of maple, the side is closed with two tapered overlapping fingers with beveled edges, secured with copper nails. Small, lightweight, lidded pantry boxes like this one served a variety of storage needs, including storage for sewing notions and materials.
