Origin Notes
A note from Benno Forman on 1/8/1980 suggests that the chair was formerly, incorrectly, attributed to Maskell Ware. He felt that the chair's origin was probably around Media, Pennsylvania (although he gives no evidence for this attribution).

The top and bottom slats are pinned at the stiles. "Heel taps" were removed in 1980.
