Description
This silhouette of a tall black boot encircled by a wrought iron frame with a saw-toothed edge painted green and red is suspended from a curving hanger with scrolls that allow some movement. The surface has evidence of updating and modification, including gilding and many layers of paint. Although there is no history associated with the sign, it likely was an exterior shop or tavern sign.
