Description
This long strip of cotton fabric is not a single continuous piece, but three 24-inch widths stitched together, with a fourth strip measuring only 19 inches attached at the end. The printed fabric, manufactured in the late 19th century, features reddish-brown triangle designs against a brown, stippled background. A rod pocket is sewn along one of the longer edges, indicating this was probably once used as a curtain. This object is one of a large group transferred to Winterthur from the American Textile History Museum when it closed in 2017.
