Description
Hobbyist rug maker Robert Cawrse Cleverdon created this hooked wool rug, possibly from a kit, sometime between 1955 and 1965. This oval rug has a large floral medallion and sprays of tulips, roses, and other flowers in its center. The edges are scalloped and finished with grey and black braided trim. This object is one of a large group transferred to Winterthur from the American Textile History Museum when it closed in 2017.
