Description
The Scranton Lace Company, a major producer of machine-made lace, manufactured this lace broadside during the 20th century. This rectangular broadside depicts holly leaves, bells, and a candle alongside text reading “Christmas Wishes / The Scranton Lace Company.” There is a decorative scalloped border around all four edges. This object is one of a large group transferred to Winterthur from the American Textile History Museum when it closed in 2017.
