Description
This green rayon and silk handkerchief commemoratives the 1937 coronation of George VI, King of the United Kingdom. The handkerchief has a printed image in one corner of a simplified depiction of George VI’s coat of arms, with text reading “Coronation / 1937 / King George VI.” This object is one of a large group transferred to Winterthur from the American Textile History Museum when it closed in 2017.
