Description
This is a fragment of glazed cotton chintz with a rose design. The pattern is printed in black, white, red, and green on a brown ground. It consists of one column of large, repeating rose motifs and a second column of smaller rose motifs between white floral borders. This object is one of a large group transferred to Winterthur from the American Textile History Museum when it closed in 2017.
