Description
The Rhode Island textile printer Cranston Print Works produced this cotton handkerchief in 1932 to commemorate the bicentennial of George Washington’s birth. The handkerchief features a portrait of George Washington, made to look like a lithograph, surrounded by patriotic motifs. This object is one of a large group transferred to Winterthur from the American Textile History Museum when it closed in 2017.
