Description
This cotton bag was made for the Louisiana-based Colonial Sugars Company. The bag is made of plain-woven white cotton and is printed with a red and blue logo depicting the front door of a building. Text printed on the back of the bag encourages consumers to “Help Cotton Growers by Ordering your Sugar Packed in Cotton Bags.” This object is one of a large group transferred to Winterthur from the American Textile History Museum when it closed in 2017.
