Passementerie (Ribbon)
Description
This off-white silk ribbon has a printed design advertising “Cochituate Water.” At the center of the ribbon is an image of a man standing next to a well. Text above the image reads “Cochituate Water” and a caption below reads “O That’s The Drink For Me.” This object is one of a large group transferred to Winterthur from the American Textile History Museum when it closed in 2017.
