Tool (for textiles) (Textile printing block)

Description

This is a wooden print block used for printing on textiles. The block has raised designs of organic, frond-like shapes on the left and right edges. The inner parts of the designs are cut out and have leather fit into them. This object is one of a large group transferred to Winterthur from the American Textile History Museum when it closed in 2017.
