Description
This is a wooden print block used for printing on textiles. The block has one rounded end and one pointed end. At the rounded end, there is a raised design of a ring of organic frond-like shapes. At the pointed end, along one edge, there is a raised design of a rectangular shape. Most of the raised wooden designs have areas cut out of their centers with leather fit into them. This object is one of a large group transferred to Winterthur from the American Textile History Museum when it closed in 2017.
