Description
This strap came to Winterthur with a loom that had been used in Southeastern Pennsylvania for over two hundred years. It is a straight leather strap with one end folded over a wooden peg and stitched back to itself, probably used to support the shafts. The other end is pierced with three small holes. This is likely one of many pieces that were replaced repeatedly as they wore out over decades of heavy use.
