Origin Notes
A hybrid chandelier in terms of date, parts and origin. Skeleton of chandelier probably Continental c. 1780. Various English elements from 1760-1790's added. Receiver bowl was probably once a dessert dish and lower canopy was probably once the foot of a glass candlestick. In short, a modern made-up object; attributed by Martin Mortimer, glass lighting specialist, in 1995.
