Description
This rod came to Winterthur alongside an eighteenth century loom that had been used almost continuously in Southeastern Pennsylvania until 2015. In that time, many things had to be repaired and replaced, including this rod, which could be could be used for any number of tasks related to weaving, like knitting heddles or tying on a warp. The barcode stamped on this rod may look familiar today, but it was simply a part of a traditional process.
