Description
This pair of 'heddle horses' came to Winterthur with a loom that has been used in southeastern Pennsylvania for over 200 years. A loom's horses hang above the shafts and attach with strings to the heddle sticks. They help in raising and lowering the shafts when a weaver works his treadles.
